Membership: All memberships are payable for the calendar year. Categories and respective dues
include:

(All foreign addresses add $12.) Mail membership dues to the treasurer at 118 Yosemite, San
Antonio TX 78232. Library and out of state society subscriptions are $22.
Membership Privileges: Each member will receive one copy of STIRPES each quarter and may
submit free queries in each issue of STIRPES. The quarterly will be published in March, June,
September, and December. Each member will also receive copies of the TSGS NEWSLETTER
frequently during the year. Each member will be entitled to one vote at business meetings of
Texas State Genealogical Society.
Address Changes: Claims for lost issues must be made within sixty days of the last day of the
publication month. Claims made after the 60-day period are handled as a sale: $7.50 includes the
issue and mailing costs. Please notify us of your change of address as quickly as possible to avoid
lost or returned issues.
Editorial Policy: Neither the Texas State Genealogical Society, the Board of Directors, nor the
editor assume any responsibility for information or materials included in the publication of STIRPES.
We expect all contributions to be factually accurate and will print corrections as they are
brought to our attention. We solicit material which is Texas-related or of a general research
nature. The editor reserves the right to accept or reject data submitted and to edit such material.
STIRPES: The title of our quarterly is the Latin word meaning roots. It is pronounced "stir-peez"
and should not be mistaken for the word "stripes" which transposes the "i" and "r".
