If anyone doubted that the
Mesquiter was an up-to-date
newspaper, those doubts must
have been dispelled on Thursday
of last week when they read in
the paper at 7:00 p. m. an ac-
count of a wedding that took
place an hour later. As a mat-
ter of course, the item was writ-
ten and the paper printed be-
fore the marriage occurred. It
was up to us to do that, delay
the publication of the paper or
let the item get nearly a w-jek
old before it was printed. So we
preferred to be a little ahead of
date rather than delay the paper
or let the item go until the next
week.
Program For Week of Prayer,
of help given, but the company
does not have to build the line
through Mesquite. They can
get moral encouragement and
financial help to run it north of
Mesquite and it is necessary that
decisive action be taken as this
means a good deal to Mesquite
and surrounding country. It
means the gain or loss of value
to every foot of land and every
piece of property in Mesquite
and along the proposed route.
Every man who is interested
n this matter and feels that
something substantial ought to
be done is urged to attend this
meeting tonight.
