TEXANS!
let's talk Texas
—and make 1929
the most active
year Texas has
ever experienced
Tgmn
;
|lIIS IS an appeal to every Texan to
study closely and understand
thoroughlythcpossibilitiesofhis state,
and to pass on this undemanding to
every person with whom he comet in contact, so
that everyone who seeks a location for a
home, an office or a factory will know exactly
what Texas has to offer him. Then Texas will
ascend to her just place of leadership. Bur we
must talk TexaMr-all the timt.
Manufacturing must move to the doorways
of large markets, where raw material, favorable
transportation facilities, taxes and labor supply
combine with abundant and economical electric
power to afford ideal locations.
Texas cities and towns served by this Company
supply each of these needs for a host of indus-
tries, but, since physical advantages do not
always determine the selection of industrial
locations, certain other vital things must be
thrown into the balance.
Sound exploitation must be persistendy Xf^v^irvTc
used. The manner in which Texas tells
its story will determine its industrial
accomplishments in 1929.
The Texas Power & Light Company,
Joying several hundreds of Texas men
m
them a dear conception of the natural resources
of Texas and to impress upon them the impor-
tance of their development. Basically the purpose
of this Company is to render art clcctric service
to a large number of Texas cities and towns.
Having done this, and having charted courses
of growth that anncipate vast developments in
the Texas of tomorrow, this Company feels that its
duty to Texas extends still deeper. Therefore it is
telling the story of Texas' advantages to indus-
tries through the use of paid advertising in
sectional and national trade magazines. The
purpose of this advertising is to stimulate the
movement of industries to Texas.
For sixteen years tbe Texas Power Be
Light Company has worked not only to
serve an appreciative public bur to help
build a greater Sate.
Tcxans! Let's make 1929 the greatest
