It's great to be a Hellcat; to be
able to plan on seeing so many
friends at one more reunion - the
35th Annual.
PRESIDENTS
MESSAGE
I sincerely hope that all of you
Hellcats and Hellkittens have
your reservations in for the 35th
Annual Reunion of the 12th Ar-
mored Division Association. From
all indications at this time it will
be the biggest and best ever with
an estimated 1,000 or more in
attendance. Check just one more
time and make sure you have the
confirmation of your reservation.
Call your buddies and friends and
make sure they have not forgot-
ten to get theirs in. We hope to
see you all in Rochester for our
35th Anniversary Reunion!!
The Executive Secretary office
is still open with very few volun-
teers for the job. At the present
time it looks like it could very
well be that the office will not be
filled by reunion time. At reunion
time the resignation of George
Moss will become effective and
the association will be without an
editor for the HCN, there will be
no one to send the dues to, no one
to answer the association mail or
to provide requested information
to the officers and unit represen-
tatives. The association will be
without a message center, a clear-
ing house and an executive aide to
put executive planning by the
executive council into action. The
12th Armored Division Associ-
ation needs a replacement for
George, without an executive sec-
retary the association can only
survive by cooperative action by
the council members or the mem-
bership. If it is needed that the
association must so survive, it will
be in a haphazard manner that
will take a very high degree of
communication and spread as we
are over the entire country, it
would be very hard to get the job
done as efficiently as in the past.
Your Association needs YOU!

Please contact your president or
either vice-president if you wish
to volunteer to do your part for
the association and your com-
rades.
I have received a good number
of communications requesting
that the reunions be held in the
fall instead of mid-summer. It is
my opinion that this has great
merit in that we could take
advantage of seasonal prices in
these days of high inflation. Now
that most of our families are
grown to adults and are raising
families of their own, there is no
problem with what to do with the
youngsters. Hotel arrangements
for our reunions would seemingly
be easier to negotiate and better
arrangements be made for re-
union tours. Please let your of-
ficers on the executive council
know your thoughts on this, it can
not be done unless they know
your wishes.
The Nominating and Auditing
Committees have been appointed
and are now at work putting
together a slate of nominees for
1981-1982 and getting ready to
audit the books of the 1980-1981
year. The June issue will carry
the names of the men serving on
these committees for your con-
venience in contacting them.
Let's all meet in Rochester!
Until next month, May God
bless you and yours each day in
every way.
IT IS GREAT
TO BE A HELLCAT!!
In Comradeship,
Ken

HOW YOU CAN TELL WHEN
IT'S GOING TO BE A ROTTEN
DAY
You want to put on the clothes
you wore home from the party
and there aren't any.
You turn on the news and
they're showing emergency
routes out of the city.
Your twin sister forgot your
birthday.
You wake up and discover your
waterbed broke and then realize
that you don't have a waterbed.
Your car horn goes off accident-
ally and remains stuck as you
follow a group of Hell's Angels on
the freeway.
Your wife wakes up feeling
amorous and you have a head-
ache.
