MISS HELLCAT MB. HELLCAT JR.
Lovely Sheron Ann Young, age
15 is the daughter of Lois and
Henry Young (A/134) 121 Weir
Court, Natchez, Miss. She plays
cornet in the Natchez-Adams high
school band and the Herald Trum-
peter in the marching band.
Among her many hobbies is in-
terior decorating. Her talent is
everywhere in the house and even
in her own Volkswagon.
Meet James Opsahl, son of Ver-
non Opsahl (Sv. 495), Carpenter,
So. Dak., 57322. Jim, 17 years of
age is a junior at the Willow Lake
High School and when not work-
ing his Dad's 1300 acre farm is
active in baseball and wrestling.

The 17th Reports
Ha"e you noticed on the mem-
bership report how our member-
ship has climbed? We may be in
fourth place but we have gained
considerably over last year. This
is largely due to many of you
boys being boosters and giving
many of our buddies a chance to
become acquainted with the As-
sociation. Some of the fellows
who a "booster" member paid for
last year have become booster
members themselves this year.
I can tell our 17th is catching
fire because the mailman has
been bringing me letters. It sure
makes this rep job easier when
you don't have to scrounge for
news. It's a wonderful feeling and
you don't know how much I ap-
preciate hearing from you.
Bob Cooper (Hq) write he an
Evelyn are enjoying good health
and everything is fine in South
Dakota. He also added I should
say "Hello" to all those characters
in Headquarters Company.
Tom and Katy Boos have
moved in a new home at 3405
Breck St., Grove City, Ohio. Katy
writes that Tom was recently pro-
moted in the Post Office, and his
new desk job is making him fat,
sassy, and real bossy (the boys in
the 2nd platoon, C Co. say he
always was like this . . . but they
love him).
George (Duffy) Wagner was
disappointed in not seeing more
headquarters men in Chicago such
as Jim Lotz, Gene Blackford, Bob
Crookham and Howard McLa'.n.
He wants these bovs to put some
effort in making Detroit in '67.
Just heard from Gene and
Eleanor Blackford they were in
Kobe, Japan, enroute to Sidney,
Australia to visit their son, P-iter.
They sailed Nov. 3 from San Fran-
cisco on the S.S. Iberia, via
Honolulu, Yokohoma, Kobe, Hong
Kong and Manila before arriving
in Sydney. On Feb. 12th they sail
for home on the S.S. Canberra,
via Auckland, Fiji Islands and
will arrive back in the states on
March 1st. Gene Says they are
having a great time and this beats
the troop ships.
Dan Marshall (C Co.) write he
had to work during the Chicago
reunion, but he and Margaret plan
on Detroit.
John Simpson (Hq) sent a
beautiful folder of Alabama as a
possible reunion site. The Associa-
tion can hold a reunion anywhere,
John. It however must be in a
city that can accomodate our
group, but more important, we
need a man in that city to layout
all the groundwork and present it
to the membership at a reunion.
We have a brand new member
in George Sherle (B Co.), R.D.
No. 1 - Box 39, South Fork, Pa.
15956. He wrote the secretary
wanting information on the As-
sociation. This is one of the real
kicks belonging to the Ass'n, read-
ing that someone you have been
out of touch with for twenty odd
years has found and joined the
Assn. How about you boys from
"B Co." dropping George a line or
two? You men from A, B, and
Service comoanies could drop me
a line too. This is your column in
the HELLCAT NEWS.

The Chaplain's Corner
Our guest chaplain for this
month is Wayde V. Atwell,
(152nd), Rte 2, Conestoga, Pa.
17156, with these thoughts for
the New Year.
God grant each member of our
Association the grace to correct
the mistakes of youth. May He
strengthen us in the struggle of
life and may our faith remove
the regrets of old age.
His blessing for all in the com-
ing year.
"BIMI" is Hungry
And the only way you can feed
him is by sending in dues and new
memberships. He thrives on spon-
sored members fed to him by
those financially able to do it.
GEORGE D. DALLEY (B/714),
57 Poplar St., Box 175, Port Jeff-
erson Station, L.I. N.Y. 1 1776:
This has been a rather hectic year
for me. My wife, Muriel passed
away suddenly last June 27th and
after being married 29 years I
find adjusting very difficult. I am
still employed with the Thomas
Wilson Mfg. Co. as supervisor in
charge of production. Give my
best wishes to the boys in the
714th.
GEZA J. HORVATH (152nd)
1530 Eighth Ave., Bethlehem, Pa.
18017: Our daughter, Judy was
married in August and this made
it impossible for Muddy and I to
make Chicago. Becoming grand-
parents will be the only thing to
keep us from seeing the gang in
Detroit.
ALBERT H. LASDA (C/493),
46 Warren St., Tully, N.Y. 13159:
I just aline or two with my dues.
I'm still a salesman for Mutual of
Omaha, working out of Syracuse,
N.Y. Still have the same wife,
Ilga whom I married in Germany.
My three boys are: Norman, a
sophomore at Union College and
two more 12 and 14 I only see
when I open the refrigerator door.
