After losing track of the Ass n
for several years I don't intend to
let that happen again.
I was in the 493rd for three
years and "A Btry" Exec, while
overseas. While on vacation in
Florida back in 1958 I visited J.
P. Hill. He was a F. O. at Herr-
lisheim, wounded and evacuated.
Then in I960 I visited Larry and
Alice Gobeille. Larry and 1 were
classmates at O.C.S. and he was
best man at my wedding. He pass-
ed away later that year and Alice
died suddenly in 1965.
I still correspond with Bill Mc-
Workman and Bern Wolcott and
I'll have to see if Vem and I can
get Bill back in the fold.
My wife and 1 where married
at Chapel 1, Camp Campbell on
Oct. 16, 1942. This must have
been the first marriage performed
at Campbell as the Chapel wasn't
even completed. Chaplain Edmund
Bosch performed the ceremony.
My sister, Marian, was a nurse
at the Campbell base hospital. She
met and married E. G. Cross of the
92nd Recon and they have 2
daughters.
My son, Bob is a Navy man and
Judy is in college. I'm selling gas
