Fall, Spring* DEPARTMENT OF POLITICAL SCIENCE
Objectives
The Department of Political Science combines
two approaches in its course offerings.
One approach recognizes the
liberal arts orientation of the total university
and presents the subject matter in various
political science courses in a liberal
arts perspective. The other approach recognizes
the unique needs of students in
professional fields such as pre-law and
Criminal Justice and strives to present
relevant political science material in such
a way as to benefit especially these professionally
oriented students.
Political Science students may pursue
the B.A. or B.B.S. degrees. Teacher Certification
students may pursue a B.A. or
B.B.S. degree, subject to Texas Teacher
Certification requirements (contact the Political
Science department or School of
Education for further information).
