Pfc. Thomas W. Clemmer, older
sen of Mr. and Mis. Earl Clemmer
of Route 2, Moran, entered tbe
service Jan. 27, 1945, and received
J»s basic training at Camp Hood.
He is now somewhere in the Pacific
Theatre of operations.
WILLIE L. CLEMMER
Willie L. Clemmer, younger son
of Mr. and Mrs. Ear! Clemmer,
joined the Navy in January of this
year and had his hoot training at
San Diego, Calif. He is also some-
where in the Pacific area.

Dec. 24, 1941—Wake falls.

Pfc. J. C. Patterson Jr., son of
Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Patterson of
Moran, entered service Jan. 29.
1944, and after a few months train-
ing was sent overseas. He saw-
service in Italy with Gen. Mark
Clark's 5th Army where he receiv-
ed slight wounds in the knee last
October.
VICTORY
Dec. 10, 3 943—Enemy lands in
Philippines, sinks British battle-
ship Prince of Wales and battle
cruiser Repulse off Malaya.

in Germany. After spending sev-
eral weeks in a hospital in Eng-
land, he was returned to the States
and is still receiving treatment for
an injury in the left arm. He spent
a 30-day furlough in Moran and
other points with relatives soon
after his return to the States early
in the summer.
Pfc. Roy Randolph went to Cali-
fornia immediately after gradua-
tion from Moran high school and
went into service two years ago
from his home in Culver City,
Calif. He is with the 7th Army in
Germany. His wife and little
daughter reside in Culver City.
VICTORY
Dec. 7, 1941—Japanese attack
Pearl Harbor. On the same day
(Deo. 8, East Longitude time) they
hit Wake, Guam, Philippines, Ma-
laya and Hong Kong and invade
Thailand.
VICTORY
Feb. 1, 1942—U. S. carriers and
cruisers attack enemy bases in
Marshall and Gilbert Islands.
PFC. RALPH ISRAEL
Pfc. Ralph Israel, son of Mr. and
Mrs. G. E. Israel, of Moran entered
the service in December 1944. He
was home on a furlough in April
1945. He reported to Fort Mead.
Maryland and then to California.
At the present he is on the Island
of Luzon. Mrs. Israel and children
reside in Moran.

Pfc. Carl Israel, age 24, entered
the service in 1942 and saw duty in
Australia and New Guinea. He
was hospitalized before returning
to the States and since returning
home has been given an honorable
medical discharge.
VICTORY
Mar. 13, 1942—Japanese invade
Solomon Islands.
