an old college friend at Irving
Texas at the morning hour and
at the Trinily Heights Methodist
church in the evening Appreciative
congregations heard the massages
at both places
The convention was largely attended
there being more than
three thousand enrolled messengers
in attendance The Baptists of
Dallas more than sixteen thous
and of them gavo us a most cordi
al welcome The convention met
in the new auditorium of the First
Baptist church which was recent
ly completed at a cost of 158
000 This auditorium seats about
3500 people It was packed
through almost every session of
the convention
