Swisher County made one of
the outstanding records in the
United States and the outstanding

Third War Loan Drive according
to word Judge James T Hale
received this week from C M
Smith regional manager of the
War Ilnance Committee This
record was made both on percentage
of its quota of E bonds
and pcrcei tage of total quota
The lettc from Smith reads
For your information you sold
during the crive 25976200 1s
sue value of E bonds Your quota
of E bonds was 150900 Thus
you obtaino1 a percentage of 1G5
percent Your total sales of all
types of bonds was 358973 Thus
your sales of E bonds belng259
702 was 72 percent of total sales
In addition to E bonds sales you
sold 43211 of F and G bonds or
a total percentage of E F and G
bonds of 8439 percent of total
sales In addition to E F and G
bonds you also sold 12000 of
the 2 12 poiccnt bonds which
the government is anxious to sell
to the people making a total
percentage of these types of bonds
of 89 percent to your total sales
Although I am highly pleased
with yrr sale of E F and G
bonds I am particularly happy
with our penormance on the
sale or E bonds I want to congratulate
you and your fine
committees and the people in
responding so well in the purchase
of the type of bonds best
suited both to them and to the
government and thus of such
fine afd to your country
I note
your quota E F
fj G bonds in November is 23400
and I am sure your fine people
are exerting every effort to reach
this goal
