THE TUUA HERALD
Slow Drizzle Brings 49 Inches
Of Moisture To Swisher Area
Rainfall amounting to 49
inches was recorded at the Herald
office here early this week when
27 inches fell Monday Morning
and another 22 inches fell TuesdayThe rain which fell slowly was
just what most farmers wanted
to bring late sowed wheat up
after the ground had crusted over
from the hard rains a week ago
Farmers are predicting the
finest wheat pasturage for this
Fall as most wheat has been up
for some time and is rapidly
forming a good root system The
harvesting of the big row crop in
Mils area has been delayed and
Although some is already in shocks
or has been combined a large
portion of the crop still remains
standing in the fields or has been
cut and bound and is laying on
the ground
