Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Robinson of
San Antonio drove in Wednesday
night to spend a few days with
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. G.
Robinson, Betty Jo and Patsy.
They returned home Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Frankson
and Donald spent Tuesday and
Wednesday in San Antonio.
Marvin Stuhrenberg was hon-
ored with a birthday party Sun-
day, it being his 10th birthday.
Those helping him celebrate were
Gene and Vickey Eggemeyer, Her-
bie Abraham, Bennie Farley, Mr.
and Mrs. Virgil Farley and Mari-
lyn, the honoree's parents Mr. and
Mrs. Edwin Stuhrenberg, Billy,
Linda and Teresa Stuhrenberg.
Mrs. Alvin Bannert, Mrs. Lud-
wig Peterson and Mrs. Pete Kocu-
rek attended the Home Demon-
stration Club Christmas party in
Edna Tuesday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Kovar
and daughter? were in Louise Sun-
day visiting his mother Mrs. Fran-
ces Kovar and John, also the Syl-
vester Kovar family.
Little Johnnie Marie Novak
spent Saturday and Sunday with
her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. B.
L. Kutach.
Mr. and Mrs. Martin Loff, Violet
and Sarah visited with Mr. and
Mrs. Doc. Rogers and Mrs. A. V.
Sherrer Sunday.
Jimmie and Donald Frankson of
Bay City are spending a few days
at the home, of their grandpar-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Frank-
son.
The measles are making the
rounds in our community, quite a
few children are being kept out
of school.
FAITH CLASS
The Faith Class of the First
Baptist Church held their monthly
business meeting at the home of
Mrs. J. W. Gayle on December G
at 7:30 p.m.
The president, Faye Bates call-
ed the meeting to order and the
devotional was given by Mitzi
Bowers.
The Christmas party was dis-
cussed and planned for Tuesday,
December 13. Each member is to
bring a gift. A social committee
was chosen as Dorothy Burkett,
Patsy Stewart, Mitzi Bowers and
Peggy Gayle.
The class planned to make a
Christmas basket for a needy fam-
ily.
The next meeting will be held
at Mitzi Bowers' home on Jan-
uary 3.
Refreshments were served by
the hostess and enjoyed1 by all
after the meeting was dismissed
in prayer by Dorothy Burkett.—

birthday, Sunday, December 4.
F.H.A. Schedules
Christmas Dance
The Palacios Future Homemak-
ers of America voted to hold a
semi-forma} dance Wednesday, De-
cember 21, at Monday's meeting*
Committee chairmen appointed
for the dance include: Glenda
R e n e a u , decoration committee;
Bobbie Carter, ticket committee;
and Gale King, clean-up commit-
tee.
At the Monday meeting com-
mittee reports were received by
the association. Constance Law
reported that the committee on
community service was going to
aid in collections for the Tuber-
culosis Association, and' Gladys
Bowers said that the school com-
mittee was making collars for tha
choir.
Bobbie Ruth Carter was elected
F.H.A. Girl of the Month by the
group.
Sponsor, Mrs. C. G. Jeffere,
demonstrated the art of weaving
baskets for the girls.
Rerfeshments were served by
Gwen Smith and Joan Kastrop.
Birthday Belles Meet
With Mrs. Carrell
Mrs. Freddie Carrell entertain-
ed the Bluebonnet Birthday Belles
in her home, Friday night, No-
vember 25, with a party celebrat-
ing her birthday.
The door prize was won by Mrs.
Faye Walton, Mrs. Opal Carter
was honored as Birthday Queen.
Each guest received a gift from
her Secret Pal, but the secret is
out, a name was signed this time.
Freddie was then permitted to
open her birthday gifts.
A delicious supper of cheese
sandwiches, potato salad', pickles,
olives, potato chips, cake, tea and
coffee was served to Alice Wright,
Elizabeth Tanner, Jo Leadford,
Effie Smith, Lelia Hamlin, Faye
Walton, Tressie Smith, Gerry
Clardy, Opal Carter and a visitor,
Mrs. Jane Eiseman.
