Perhaps Its the newness of the

we hear some
OCCASIONALLY mound town

they speak their minds 1
would be well If they would go

and see how tho youngsteis of

evening while rummaging throii
gh some old boxes of this that
and the other which apparently
has been a pmt of The Herald
since tho year 1 wo found sotn
excellent background material In
an old Tulla high school annual
which sheds not a little light on
some of our wellknown citizens
For Instance under the picture
of Dick ODanlcl known those
days as Ozzic according to
the iccoids we find the line A
worshipper of the opposite sex
After spending four yenis lr

to be the only mark he left on
the history pages of that educational
institution Many of
these graduates of the late 20s
left some woithy footpUnts on
tho sands of THS tecorded history
but did Stanley Vars Without
comment we pass on to our
1917 readers the noble words
which summarize his days in

RECENT WEEKS wo

have had much to say in
tliis column concerning delinquent
taxes We hope no one has
gotten tho erroneous impiession
that wo arc out for those few
homeowners who through unfortunate
circumstances arc unable
to mnko ends meet even
on current living expenses We
realise there are individuals around
town whose only income
may bo a pension check which
wo all know will not pay the
groceiy bill Most any of us are
willing to pay a little more than
our shaio of taxes to mnko up
for what they arc unable to pay
But wo are NOT willing to pay
extra taxes ot mako up for
