y of Brahman cattle has given rise
to some speculation by people un-
familiar with the breed. It is not,
however, a deformity, rupture or
water storage compartment as
some have thought. The hump of
the Brahman—aside from being a
distinguishing trademark—is edi-
ble meat, well marbled with fat.
There is no bone in the hump. It
makes a delicious pot roast and is
considered a favorite delicacy in
many countries.
Humps vary in size and shape
according to the sex and condition
of the individual animal.
CARD OF THANKS
We wish to express our sincere
thanks to our many relatives and
friends for their kind expressions
of sympathy in the recent loss of
our loved one, Mrs. Charles Schroe-
der. Especially do we want to
thank Drs. Youens, Cummins, and
Fuller for their untiring efforts,
Rev. Chas. Bawel for his com-
forting words, Hubbard Funeral
Home, the choir, all who sent
flowers, spiritual bouquets, cards
and food. Your kindness shall al-
ways be remembered. May God
bless all of you.

"Year of Confusion"
The year 46 B.C. was known as
the "year of confusion," because
the calendar was three months
ahead of the seasons. The Roman
calendar was changed at the whim
of politicians. To adjust the cal-
endar to the season, the year 46
B.C. was given 15 months.

Nothing is more rewarding than
church work, and there is plenty
of it to be done in every com-
munity.
Few rites are of more impor-
tance to a young man than filling
in the identity card in his first
billfold.
