Rains of Past Few Days Are Forerun-
ner of Unprecedented Prosperity,
Dealers Say.
The rains of the lust few days have tem-
jjorarfly delayed activity on the local
realty market, but dealers are confident
that this is a forerunner to one of the most
prosperous seasons that has ever prevailed
here. The rains will insure a larger yield
of cotton than was expected and in spite of
the depressing conditions caused by the
European war. dealers are optimistic.
One of the largest transfers recorded yes
terdav was a deew to 100 acres of land out
of the Marie Josefa Rodriguez survey to
Arthur C. and Mina Bolton to Edward
Bielke. The consideration was
Interest of the local dealers yesterday
centered in the weekly luncheon or the Heal
Estate Exchange, which was held at the
Gunter Hotel. The Somers system and its
relation to the real estate man was dis-
cussed in detail bj- William Young, the
man who installed the system in San An-
tonio. A number of round-table talks were
made by members of the exchange.
The real estate transfers yesterday num-
bered twelve and totaled $13,828. The
building permits numbered eight and to-
