FORESTBURG Got
an interest in local history?
Well then, the Montague
County Historic Commission
has a place saved for YOU at
their Round Table History
Forum planned for Saturday,
March 5th, at Forestburg in
the Methodist Church fel-
lowship hall from 2 to 4 p.m.
Forestburg is very rich in
history. The area was settled
very early. And its people
have played a significant role
during each phase of our
county history. They contin-
ue to play a significant role
in the preservation of that
history. It seems fitting that
the M.C.H.C. launch its sec-
ond, 2011, round of history
forums in this setting, giving
guests a taste of the special
character that flourishes in
the southeast corner of our
county.
Come prepared to enjoy
this informal bit of "time
travel". Bring your family
stories, personal experiences,
findings from old publica-
tions, pictures, memorabilia,
or whatever you would like
to share that pertains to our
county's development. If it
intrigues you, it will likely be
of interest to us all.
