a projected date for dropping
below 819 of Oct. 16.
The lake dropped to a low
of 821.70-feet. Twenty-four
hours later the lake had risen
to 821.80 before beginning
to decline. Pushing the Stage
4 trigger back three more
days.
Other factors which could
stall the Stage-4 trigger
would be a decrease in water
demand and cooler tempera-
tures to slow evaporation.
Barring substantial fall
rains to raise the lake level
above any of the trigger ele-
vations, City Manager Lynn
Henley fears the city will go
into the 2012 growing sea-
son already in Stage 4 or 5
restrictions.
Stage 5-Extreme restric-
tions would forbid all out-
side watering - whether
through hose-end sprinklers,
underground sprinklers, or
hand-held hoses or buckets.
Stage 5 is triggered when the
lake falls below 817.0 feet
for three consecutive days.
None of the Stage restric-
tions are lifted until the lake
rises above the trigger eleva-
tion.

When would Texans be thrilled, ellated to see dark clouds, gusting winds? When they have seen 48 days of 100 degree
termperatures, 10 straight in excess of 105, less than a third of normal rainfall for the past 11 months. That's when.
Thursday's cooling breeze brought between a quarter and an inch and a quarter of rain to parts of norther Montague
County giving everyone some moemntary relief from the heat.
