Nancj Buck
Funeral services for
Nancy Ruth Buck, 77, of
Nocona, were held at 11 a.m.
Monday, Sept. 3, 2012, at
Bonita Baptist Church with
Darius McKay officiating.
Interment followed at
Nocona Cemetery under the
direction of Scott-Morris
Funeral Home.
Nancy was born Jan. 27,
1935, in Saint Jo the daugh-
ter of Joe and Hannah Roper.
She married Bobby Buck,
and passed away Sept. 2 in
Nocona.
Survivors include: her
children, Bobby Buck and
boyfriend Mark Grandy of
Nocona; Terri Evans and
husband Russell of Dayton;
and Danny Buck and wife
Karen of Spring; 10 grand-
children and 10 great-grand-
children.
She was preceded in
death by her parents, Joe and
Hannah Roper, and her hus-
band, Bob Buck.
In lieu of flowers, memo-
rials may be made in
Nancy's name to the Bonita
Baptist Church.
William
Thompson
SAINT JO — Funeral
services for William Neal
Thompson, age 26 of Saint
Jo were held on Sunday, 2
p.m., September 2, 2012, at
the Missionary Baptist
Church in Saint Jo. Burial
was in Mountain Park
Cemetery. Services were
officiated by Rev. Ricky
Kerr and directed by McCoy
Funeral Home of Saint Jo. A
visitation was held Saturday,
September 1, 2012 from 6 to
8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Thompson died on
the family farm on the morn-
ing of Wednesday, Aug. 29,
2012.
Neal and Barbara
Thompson became the proud
parents of William and his
twin brother, Wesley, on
Jan. 15, 1986. William com-
pleted and graduated high
school in Saint Jo and, soon
thereafter, entered the mili-
tary service where he served
some three years. He, after
being discharged, worked at
various jobs, to include
mostly Fischer's Meat
Market in Muenster.
William was a pleasant
person to be around. He was
a friend to many, especially
his classmates. He really
enjoyed deer hunting, fish-
ing and especially the family
reunions. He will be greatly
missed by all who knew him.
William is survived by:
his daughter, Saydee Jean of
Nocona; parents, Neal and
Barbara Thompson of Saint
Jo; twin brother, Wesley
Thompson of Saint Jo;
grandmother, Bessie Van
Zandt of Saint Jo; one aunt
and several cousins and
friends. He is preceded in
death by his paternal grand-
parents, Finis and W. N.
Thompson, and his maternal
grandfather, Ed Van Zandt.
Pallbearers were: John
Marple, Fred Ellis, John
Caruth, Kyle Brewer,
Hayden Stone, and Robert
Kennedy. Honorary pall-
bearers were: Slim
Grusendorf, Paul Bacchus,
and Justin Thweatt.

92, of Nocona, were held at
10:30 a.m. Wednesday,
Sept. 5, 2012, at First Baptist
Church of Nocona with Rev.
Dave Woodbury officiating.
Interment followed at
Nocona Cemetery under the
direction of Jerry Woods
Funeral Home.
LaVerne Reynolds
Hoover passed from this life
Sept. 2, 2012, in Nocona.
Services were held at the
First Baptist Church at 10:30
a.m. with the Rev. Dave
Woodbury officiating.
She was born March 24,
1920, in Hastings, Okla..
Her parents were Claud and
Myrtle Meeks. She married
Oiville W. Reynolds Jan. 15,
1939, in Maryette, Okla.,
and was a devoted wife until
Orville's death on Jan. 15,
1939.
On Dec. 28, 1989, she
married Grant Hoover. Grant
died May 17, 2002.
LaVerne was an avid gar-
dener caring for her lawn
and flowers well into her
80s. She was honored on
more than one occasion for
her yard and decorations.
The majority of the work
was by her own doing.
She worked at several
jobs in Nocona working the
longest at Nocona Athletic
Goods.
LaVerne was a member
of the First Baptist Church
and read her Bible daily

Jeannette was born April
13, 1939, in Dumont the
daughter of the late J.M. and
Carmon Hutchison Park. She
died Aug. 22 in Nocona.
A food distributor she
was a member of the
Methodist Church.
Survivors include: her
step-father Melvin
McWilliams of Paducah;
daughter, Freeda Mayberry
of Morse; sister, Beverly
Bagley of Nocona; sister-in-
law, Betty Park of Dumont;
two grandchildren, Chelsea
Luck of Nocona and David
Mayberry of Houston; a spe-
cial friends, Fred and Sue
Mayberry of Frisco and
Jeanie Marmaduke of
Nocona.
She was preceded in
death by her parents, a broth-

A loving husband and
father, he is buried next to
his wife Sandy Mills at Oak
Hill Cemetery in Montague
County.
He left four children,
Darla, Billy, Susan and
Mike, many grandchildren
and great-grandchildren. In

Marjorie Lucille Hollars, 82,
passed away Saturday, Sept.
1, 2012, in Wichita Falls,
TX. Services will be held 10

Lunn's Colonial Chapel with
Ryan Russell, her grandson,
officiating. Burial will be in
Crestview Memorial Park
under the direction of
Lunn's Colonial Funeral

Marjorie was born Nov.
23, 1929, in Wheeler, to
Hazel May and Nuell Carol
Field. She was retired from
F.W.A. Drilling Co. after
working as a bookkeeper for
many years. Marjorie was a
member of the ARC, and of
Faith Village Church of
Christ.
She was preceded in
death by her husband
Marion Elmo Hollars, her
son, Nicky Wayne Hollars,
and her brother, Carol Field.
Survivors include her
daughters, Marian Hollars,
Trina Russell and her hus-
band Kyle, and daughter-in-
law Mary Hollars, all of
Wichita Falls, fouor grand-
children, Julie Moree and
her husband Alan, Ryan
Russell, Kris Russell, and
Scott Hollars and his wife
Kristi, and three great-grand-
children, Ashlyn, Adyson,
and Aniston Hollars.
