felony defendants entered
guilty pleas before 97th
District Court Judge Roger
Towery Monday.
Phillip David Terry, 24,
of Bowie pled guilty to two
charges. He was sentenced to
five years probation and
ordered to pay a $1,250 fine
for burglary of a building. He
also was sentenced to five
years probation upon a plea
to possession of a controlled
substance.
Frances Kathleen Cable,
52, of Nocona, was sen-
tenced to 15 months in the
State Jail after pleading
guilty to forgery of a finan-
cial instrument
Jimmy Early Parks, 40, of
Bowie was sentenced to two
years probation and fined
$500 upon pleading guilty to
credit card abuse.
Rebecca Lynn Taylor, 25,
of Bowie, was sentence to
eight years in the Texas
Department of Criminal
Justice after pleading guilty
to possession of a controlled
substance.
Derek Ray Joseph, 23, of
Bowie was sentenced to 389
days in the State Jail after
pleading guilty to manufac-
ture of a controlled sub-
stance.
Kacey Darlene Croxton,
25, of Bowie was sentenced
to 2 years in State Jail after
having her probation
revoked for a conviction of
possession of a controlled
substance. She also pled
guilty to a second possession
charge and was sentenced to
two years in the State Jail.
Sheila Michelle Hayes,
31, of Bowie, received 10
years probation and was
fined $1,500 after pleading
guilty to possession of a con-
trolled substance.
Dusty Ray Bowman, 18,
of Bowie, was sentenced to
10 years probation and fined
$7,500 after pleading guilty
to possession of a controlled
substance more than4 but
less than 200 grams.
Pepper Len Davis, 52, of
Bowie, was sentenced to 6
years in the TDCJ after
pleading guilty to possession
of a controlled substance.
Jeremy Ray Handy side,
25, of Bowie, was sentenced
to three years probation and
fined $750 after pleading
guilty to possession of a con-
trolled substance.
Armando Tafoya, 21, of
Bowie, was sentenced to five
years probation and ordered
to pay a $1,500 fine after
pleading guilty to burglary of
a habitation.

Sheriffs department
responded to 38 calls for
service during the week of
Feb. 15 through 21st includ-
ing two disturbances, one
report of stray livestock and
one request for agency assis-
tance.
On Feb. 15 on S.H. 59
outside of Bowie an assault
by threats and harassment
was reported. No physical
assault occurred.
On Feb. 18 on John Roth
Road outside of Bowie a
report was filed and investi-
gated about abandoned ani-
mals starving to death.
That same day on S.H.
175 outside of Nocona a
license plate was reportedly
stolen
An assault victim report-
ed the assault on Feb. 19 on
Ten Box Road outside of
Sunset. The victim sustained
minor injuries to their eye,
back, neck and hip.
A person reported an ani-
mal cruelty on Feb. 19 on
Greenbriar Road when a dog
was shot and killed.
And on Feb. 19 a com-
plainant on Dallas Street in
Nocona reported she had
been wrongfully evicted
from her home.
