The Allen Case.—The pre-
liminary examination in the
case of the state vs. W. P. Al-
len, chafed with the murder of
Will F. Garrett, was concluded
by justice McClung, on Tues-

did not differ materially from
that taken at the inquest. Al-
len was admitted to bail in the
sum of $2$oo. His friends say
he will make the bond to-day.

attend a primary meeting of the

and some went in buggies. To-
day, Wednesday the delegates
to the county convention will
