all of Tuesday night, as eleven
men were tor conviction and
one for acquittal. They agreed
during the night, and Judge
Turner opened his court before
sunrise yesterday morniag, aiu

two years in the penitentiary.
The next case were: State of
Texas vs. Dick and Gus Browu-
£, colored, charged y with
stealing a bale ot cotton, and
selling it in this city. One ot
the brothers plead guilty, and
the other was convicted and
received two years in the peni-
tentiary.
The next case was the white
man, T. J. Thomas, who stole
F. L. Randle's fine horse a lew
months ago. He plead guilty,
and the jury gave him six years*
Sweet potatoes are slow sale
in this market at forty cents per
bushel, and corn is sold daily
