long these impressions may last, is a matter

thieving propensities, indirectly encourag-
es the commission of thelts. " -

writing from Robertson county says, two
Indiaus were killed upon lherTrinity, on
the 19th inst., whilst in the acl of purloin-
ing horses.

men four or five days since. The detach-

away. The ahove animals are repotted to
have been oaptured by the Lilians from the
Wacoes, and are in charge of Capt. Grumbles.

from the neighborhood of Fort Washita
Three of them say they belong to Col. Up-
shaw, Indian agent, living near that place;
two to Mr. James Tyson, and the other one to
Mr. John Dun lord
The owners of said negroes are requested to
come forward as early as practicable, and at-
tend to the matter agreeubly to law.
