shall be, to foster -and disseminate
democratic principles; to sdeure
active participation in politics of
those who have hitherto been in
different to political duties,*or
who have been prevented from per-
forming them; to bring about a re-
form in primary elections, and
make tbem truly represent the
people; to secure the election of
honest and capable men to all pub
lie offices, and to maintain the pu
rity of elections. I
III Tbe officers of this elub
shall be a president, three vice-
presidents, a secretary, assistant
aeoretary, and a treasurer. The
same person shall hold the offices
of secretary and treasurer.
IV Section L There shall be
an executive committee and sueh
other committees as may from time
to time be determined upon-

have general charge of the interest
and action of the dub. They may

nate organizations in the several

mode in whtch they may be rep-
resented in the olub. This com-
mittee may direct the treasurer to
make disbursements,on account of
the dub and may also require him
to perform such duties other4 than
those hereinafter specified as the
committee may deem necessary.
Sec. IV The acts of the execu-
tive committee shall be subject to

Any member who may be guilty
of improper conduct tending to en-
danger the welfare, interest, or
character of the clnb, or is guilty
of malfeasance in office, May be ex-
pelled from the club at any meet-
ing by a majority vote of those
members present and voting, at
least three days' notice of such
meeting and of the charges against
him having first been given to the
accused in accordance with the
provisions of the by-laws.
XIII MEETINGS.
The annual meetings of the dub
shall be held on tbe first Monday
in May of each year.
The regular meetiog of the dub
shall be held on the 2nd Monday
ot each month except tbe months
of December, January, February,
March, and April.

by tbe executive committee or by
the president at the request of ten
members.
XIV HONOBABY MXMBXBS.
Any person otherwise eligible to
membership jinder this constitu-
tion and the bye-laws^and not a
resident ot Brenham prednct, may
become an honorary member by
proposal of any member of the
club, and elected according to i*
tide XI of this constitution.

upon the roll until he has signed

ing the oonstitution and roll of
members shall be kept by tbe sec-
retary and produced by him.
