At a meeting of tho I. O. B. B.,
held in this city last Sunday, the
following officers wero elected to
serve for the ensuing term: A Si-
mon, president; G. N. Heyman vice
president; H. Colin, secretary; Isaac
Cohen, treasurer; It. Gross, warden,
A. Wolf, guardian; Henry Cohn,
representative to the district grand
lodge.

Mrs. C. B Shepard, Jr., left yes-
terday for a visit to the Island City.
Joe Lee Jameson, traveling agent
of the Galveston and Dallas News,
was in the city yesterday.
Mr. W. P. Maxey, a brother of ex-
United States Senator Maxey, was
among yesterday's arrivals in the
city.
Miss Carrie Eldridge, who left
during the Christmas holidays for
Mobile, Ala., to visit relatives, has
returned home.
Mrs. B. P. Bailey and daughter,
who have been visiting relatives at
Jacksonville, returned home yester-
day afternoon.
Mrs. Wm. Watson went to Austin
yesterday to attend the amateur per-
formance of Yirginius by the stu-
dents of the university.
