1882, Tho court agrees to compromiso
said suit as to said securities upon the
following tonus: 1st. Said securities
aro to pay Polo.Pinto county tho Bum
of tlirco thousand dollars ($3000) in
installments to-wit) Hiz hundred dol-
lars to bo paid tho 25th day of Doocra-
bor, 1885. Eight hundred dollars to
bo paid tbo 1st day of January, 1887.
Eight hundred dollars to bo paid tho 1st
day of January, 1888 and Eight hund-
red dollars'to bo paid tbo 1st day of
January, 1889. Each of tho abovo
sums of money to bo secured by promis-
sory notes for tho rcspeottvo amounts
payublo to tho county Treasurer and
bis successor in office, boaring interest,
at tho rate of 8 per cent per annum
from tho 1st day of January, 1880, and
10 per cent attorney's fooa if collected
by said court. Said notes to bo oxo-
cutod by said socuritios with security
to bo approved by tho Commissioner's
count. 2nd. 'Said J. O. .McQuorry,
D. L. Cunningham, 0,0. Corbiu and
J. H. Baker to pay otic-half of tho cost
now unpaid in said suit and to pay one
half of tho unpaid attorney fees duo by
Palo Pinto county to hor att'ys. MoCJall
& MoOall and is. li. Garrett in said
suit, which one-half unpaid for amounts
to $150 and lo bo paid by said securi-
ties Doc. 24th, 1885. 3rd When said
securities accept tho terms of this oom-
primiso as herein stipulated then Palo
Piuto county shall dismiss hor suit
ngainit said J. C. McQuerry, D. L.
Cunningham, C. C. Curbin and J. H.
Baker socuritios on said Troasurcr'd
bond of G. C. Lewis and shall rolea-o
said securities from any further liability,
on said Treasurer's bond of G, O.
Lowis, 4th Palo Pinto county here-
in oxprossly resorves tho right to pro-
ceed against G. O. Lowis on his Treas-
urer's bond to final judgement, and to
the enforcement of such judgement up-
on any and all property of said Lowis
without any prejudice to any of said
bondsmen as against tho said G. 0.

complied with on or beforo tho 25th
of Aug. 1885.

mise was effected and agreed to bo-

sioners and that E. K, Taylor, County
