Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Wehmeyer, went
to Cuero to visit Rev. H- 0. Weh-
meyer, her brother.
Wm. Roehllng and son, Harry, of
Long Point visited, Mm. Mueller, of
Caldwell, last Sunday.
Wm. Roehllng went to Brenham
on a business trip Wednesday.
Miss Alice Kammerer, of Long
Point, is ill with chicken pox.
E. H. Kelm an4 Herman Korthau-
er were visitors at Brenham Tues-
day.
Miss Ella Rosenbaum and Miss
Ruth Guntle, of Bllnn Memorial Col-
lege, visited Mr. and Mrs. Rosenbaum
hut Sunday.

Kelm attended commissioners court
last Monday in regaras to having the
result of our recent school election
confirmed by mat body. The tax-
payers unanimously voted a fifty
cent tax for the purpose of building
a new school house. Now that the
act of the people has been ratified
by the commissioners, action wUl
very likely be made to proceed with
the procuring of a different site and
the erection of a new building. Long
Point has one of the oldest and beat
rural communities in Washington
county and certainly will g0t one of
the best rural school buildings-
watch and see.
