According to the scores of the re-
cent practice shoot of the Brenham
Oun club, Lonnie Wiese, Jr. has now
added another world's record to his
string in the shooting line. All
along he was generally recognized as
the champion in shooting the bull,
and now if we are to believe the lead
ing daily^ newspaper of Washington,
Fayette, Lee, Waller and Burleson
county, he also leads in shooting blue
rocks, for according to the score re-
cently published the young Irishman
broke 83 bluerocks in 50 shot at.
This record shatters by far all pre-
vious marks. On numerous occas-
siong master marksmen have broken
50 straight, Init the performance of
the Brenham hanker eclipses by the
33 the previous high water mark.
This record should be reported to the
National association at once by the
i Brenham Gun club. No doubt Frank
| Troeh, Mark Arle, Bill User and oth-
er well known shooters will turn
green with enry when they learn of
this performance by the quiet unas-
suming lad that does choree around
the First National Bank.
Although the performance of Dad-
dy Herbst was a litltle overshadow-
ed by that of the shooting Irishman
of the First National, it is neverthe-
less naught but fair to record that
44 out of 50 is mighty good for a
man of his ag% and It Is also noted
that by shooting in this super form
the nineteenth century star managed
to lead Young Werner Schmld by
four, though of course the youngster
was not shooting In top form.

CITATION BY !M WJOATION
THE STATE OF TEXAS,
To the Sheriff or any Constable of
Washington County, GREETING:
YOU ARE HEREBY COMMAND-
ED, That you summon, by making
publication of this Cit t'ion in some
newspaper published ir the County
of \\ ashington if there be a newspa-
per published therein, l ut if not, then
in any newspaper published in the
County of Washington; but if there
be no newspaper published in said
County of Washington, then in a
newspaper published in the nearest
county to said Washington County,
for four weeks previous to the re-
turn day hereof, Carl Lewis, whose
residence is unknown, to be and ap-
pear before the Hon. County Court
at the next regular term thereof, to
be holden In the County of Washing-
ton at the Court House thoreof, in
Brenham. on the 15th day of Au-
gust, 1921 then and there to answer
a Petition filed in said Court, on the
25lh day of April A. D. 1921, in a
suit numbered on the docket of said
Court No. 2497, wherein Thos. Wat-
ron & Co.. ,are plaintiffs and Carl
Lewis is defendant.
The nature of the plaintiffs de-
mand being as follow^, to-wit: That
on the 2nd day of Jan, 1920, for a
valuable consideration, the said Carl
Lewis, rhade, executed and delivered
to the plaintiff his certain promis-
sory note in writing for the princi-
pal sum of $200.83 due and payable
at Burton, Texas, which is in Wash-
ington County, one day after the
date thereof, said note bears inter-
est from date until paid at the rate
of 8 per cent per annum, said note
provides that if not paid at maturi-
ty, and placed in the hands of an at-
torney for collection, or suit Is
brought thereon, then an additional
amount of 10 per cent on principal
and interest is to be added as attor-
neys fees That by reason of the
execution and delivery of said note,
the said defendant became liable and
promised to pay the plaintiff the
same according to the legal tenor
and effect thereof That the defend-
ant has wholly failed and refused to
pay the same or anv part thereof.
That by reason of the non-payment
of said note, it became necessary to
place the same in the hands of an
attorney for collection, and to bring
suit thereon, and that plaintiff has
employed W. W. Searcy, an Attorney
at law, to file suit on said note,
thereby maturing attorneys fees.
That In order to secure the pay-
ment of said note, the defendant ex-
ecuted to plaintiff a chattel mortga-
ge on one brown horse, 3 years old,
no brand, of the value of $75.00; one
gray mare 10 years old, no brand of
the value of $50.00, one brown mare
mule 4 years old no brand, of the
value of $100 00, all situated near
Burton in Washington County Tex-
as.
Wherefore plaintiff prays for uroces
to the defendant in the terms of the
law and on final hearing he have
judjgement against the defendant
for the amount of said notei inter-
est, cost of suit and for a foreclosure
of his lien upon the above described
stock.

T. R. K. in the Chicago Tribune
says that not only will the Dempsey-
Carpentier scrap technically settle the
heavyweight championship of the
universe, but it should settle whe-
ther a married man can fight better
than bachelor. But T. R. K. is wrong
as neither Dempsey or Carpentler can
pass the eligibility rules of bachelor
hood. Dempsey may be a bachelor
now but he probably staged more
fights when he was married if those
of his former wife are to be includ-
ed, than Georges has had in his en-
tire ring history.
