ANTIS WIN IN
TARRANT COUNTY.
Fort Worth, Texas, Sept. 25.
Out of seventy-two boxes in
Tarrant county, returns from
forty five complete boxes
Bhows 4811 for prohibition and
656J against. The anti majority
is 1753 with boxes counted. In-
dications show that the anti ma-
jority will be 2000 or more.
Inspects Georgetown
Postoffice Site.
Georgetown, Tex., Sept. 26,
Congressman J. P. Buchanan of
of Brenham was here today look-
ing over the site recently pur-
chased by the Government for
$5,000 to erect n postoffice build-
ing at the last session of Cong-
ress. The appropriation com-
mittee placed $45,000 of the bill
for a building at Georgetown
and it is expected that when
Congress meets in December the
bill will be passed.

port the scholastic population of
the county, which will be inter-
esting to those who take interest
in the educational affairs of the
county:
Granger school district, 571;
Bartlett school district, 350; Jus-
tice Precinct No. 2 (not counting
Granger and Bartlett. 628; Jus-
tice No. 5 (Jarrell Precinct) 626;
Taylor, 1471; Justice Precinct
No. 6 (not counting city of Tay-
lor) 2219.

To Have Poultry Show
Georgetown, Tex., Sept. 25.
The first annual exhibition of the
Williamson County Poultry ass'n
will be held in Georgetown Nov.
23, 24 and 25. Special prizes are
offered by the Young Men's Bus-
iness League and by the Associa-
tion. Professional-poulcry rais-
ers are invited to exhibit their
birds, but the contests for prizes
are opened to amateurs only.
Letters are coming to the man-
agement from all oyer the coun-
ty and prospects are that there
will be a large number of exhib-
itors, and altogether an interest-
ing poultry show.

visitor here Monday.
Dr. Parr of Jarrell was in our
midst Thursday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Will Henry and
Mr. and Mrs. Denting Boyd was
here Sunday afternoon.
Mrs. Horace Partlow of near
Granger was in our midst one
day last week.
Sunday is our retrular preach-
ing day. All the members are
urged to be present. So let

church completed, and our pas-
tor preaches here ever other Sab-
bath. On last Monday evening the
Laides Auxiliary met with Mrs.
Randle in their social meeting
The evening was spent in cearit-
able work, and pleasantly spent.
Cake and cream was served to
those present.
Mrs. H. Sartor is on the sick
list this week. '
Grandma Messer has been
quite sick this week!
We are glad to report the little
baby of Mr. and Mrs. B. Smith
is improved.
Mrs. W. E. Rice vissited her
mother in Pecan this week.
A heavy rain visited us Sun-
day night, which put cotton on
the stand still for a few days.
