A Former Citizen1 pf Bartlett.
A telegraphic dispatch from
Waco this week contained the
information that P.F. Pipley had'
been ' arrested on a charge of
shooting a motor man in that
oity during the" recent strike on
the street railways', and was tak-
en to Hillsboro for safo keeping.
owing to the intense excitement
prevailing in Waco over the af-
fair. Mr. Ripley waa once a cit-
izen of Bartlett and served as'city
Marshall. The affair is deeply
doplor.ed byh'a friends here and
it is hoped he will . prove his, in-
nocence. , .Gone to the Hospital.
On account of a relapse of an
old trouble wtfh one of his limbs,
Mr. AUie Shultz was taken to .the
hospital at Temple this week,
.w.here an operation of some na-
ture will be performed uyon him.
He was accompanied by JMr. R.
L. Huskey, The Tribune hopes
that his trouble will not result se-
riously; and that lie will soon rcT
