Ai.toona, Pa., Nov. 23—Albert Shuitz, ;
aged 15 years, returned this morning j
from a hunting expedition, and after en- j
tering his "home proceeded up stairs to
t ut away his gun. A prattling boy baby
eight months old occupied a hammock-
near the stair way, and in a moment of j
thoughtlessness Bhultz pointed the gun ;
at the baby and pulled the trigger. The ,
gun exploded and the load knocked half j
the infant's head off. The tiesh and >
brains liteially covered the wall opposite. |
The boy had been in the habit of snap- j
ping the gun when unloaded to amuse
the hnby.

court at its general term has handed j
down an important decision, in which it
finds tliat the Bell Telephone company
of Boston, is liable here for state tares.
The decision is likely to affect the law in
the cases of foreign corporations doing
business in this state through corpora
