The One Price Square Dealers.
"TO OUR FRIENDS AND CUSTOMERS:"
A business, like a house, to be a permanent structure, must be i eartd on a solid foundation. It matters
little how attractive the store or how much money is spent in advertising there can be no permanent business prosperity!
unless it be lairly planted in the bed-rock of truth, honesty and square dealing.
The commercial world is filled with wrecks of those who seemed to think that a big show and a big blow was all that
was necessary to secure success, OUR BUSINESS WAS NOT BUILT THAT WAY. We started in right and have been
right ever since. WE ARE IN THE LEAD so far as the Dry Goods and Clothing trade of this section ot the country is
concerned, and stand to-day in the very front rank of commercial prosperity. We are proud of our constantly increasing
trade, and this season we feel more encouraged than ever as day after day we see new customers and new faces crowd
our store. We are sanguine that our undeviating course to offer strictly first-class goods aEd perfect styles at bottom
prices will warrant the continuance of the good-will and the patronage we have liberally received. We will preserve
in the aim to please everyone of our patrons in all respects and particulars on the scores of fairness, promptness and ac-
commodation, to which our success in business is largely due.
The people have so encouraged us by their liberal support, and our trade has grown to such an extent that in the
near future we will be compelled to enlarge our retail department and encrease our force. s

An Officer in Trouble.
Tezsrkana, Ark., Oct. 30—Tues-
day night Officer Johnson arrested
a young man and took him from
the north bound Iron Mountain
train, thinking he answered the
description of a murderer for
whom a large reward is offered in
West Texas. The prisoner said
he made a crop this year in Ellis
county, near Waxahachie, that
he had disposed of same and was
on his way back to his father's
home in Lawrence county, Ohio.
When near the jail the officer who
carried one disabled arm in a sling,
searched the man's pockets, tak-
ing therefrom, among other arti-
cles, a pocket book and a gold
watch, which he h^nd«d to a by-
st&nder. hiui to hold them
until he could luck the prisoner in.
The valuables were, however, no
sooner in the hands of the un-
known stakeholder till he sped
around the corner on the wing* of
the wind, and, dodging into an al-
ley, disappeared in the darkness.
He has not yet been apprehended,
though all efforts are being made
to rsveal his identity. The pris.
oner was liberated by Johnson im*
mediately, following the flight of
the man holding his watch and
money, but he is etill here and
will employ counucl to investi-
gate the affair.
A number of witnesses left to.
day to attend the trial of Sheriff
Edwards at Daingerfield, Morris
county. The sheriff is charged
with killing Ben Rogers at this
place in June last. The venue
from this to Morris county was
taken during the recent term of
the district court upon the court's
own motion.
