uel Scliuu had brought suit against the
Southern Pacific Railroad company and
the city of El Pasotoprevent.the grading
of Main street. The city attorney rec-
ommended that the suit be resisted.
The recommendation was adopted.
Chairman Berliner, of the Are and
water committee, said the ladders now
possessed by tbe fire department were
Inadequate to the wants of the city. It
