figures as consisting of a rectangular boiler
16 having an enlarged hollow rectangular
base 15. The bottom of the base 15 is adapt-
ed to cover the whole or the greater part of
5 the top of an ordinary cooking stove and
the bottom of said hollow base is provided
with a series of inverted cone shaped exten-
sions 16 whereby the heating surface of
said bottom is greatly increased. The up-
10 per end of the boiler 14 is provided with a
removable cover 17.
Removably engaged with the boiler 14 is
a rectangular clothes receptacle 18 having a
perforated bottom. The clothes receptacle
15 18 is of such height as to terminate a short
distance below the upper end of the boiler
and is of such size as to provide a suitable
water space whereby said receptacle is sur-
rounded by .the water in the boiler. The
20 clothes receptacle is supported at a suitable
elevation above the bottom of the base 15
by diagonally disposed supporting bars 19
arranged in the base 15 as shown.
In the operation of the latter form of the
25 boiler the water, when heated to the proper
degree will circulate through the perforated
bottom of the clothes receptacle and around
the sides and over the top of the same thus
thoroughly removing the dirt from the'
30 clothes therein.
From the foregoing description taken in
connection with the accompanying draw-
ings, the construction and operation of the
invention will be readily understood with-
35 out requiring a more extended explanation.Various changes in the form, proportion
and the minor details of construction may
be resorted to without departing from the
principle or sacrificing any of the advan-
tages of this invention as defined in the ap- 40
pended claim.
Having thus described my invention, what
I claim is:
A boiler washing machine, comprising an
outer casing having upwardly inclined sides, 45
said casing open at its lower end and pro-
vided with heat discharge .openings adja-
cent to its upper end, a boiler mounted in
said casing, said boiler being of less diam-
eter than the casing whereby a heating space 50
is formed around and between the boiler and
casing, a. clothes receptacle arranged in
said boiler, said receptacle having a perfo-
rated bottom and provided near its upper
edge with a series of steam and water circu- 55
lating passages and with a radially project-
ing flange on the upper end to close the
space between said end and the upper end
of the boiler, means to support said re-
ceptacle above the bottom of the boiler and 60
a cover adapted to close the upper end of
said receptacle.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set
my hand in presence of two subscribing wit-
nesses.
