With the exception of the Plum Creek Conservation District, auditors audited four goals at each district. For the goal of
addressing drought, the Plum Creek Conservation District's objective was to develop and adopt a drought management strategy
plan. The Water Development Board certified the district's groundwater management plan in January 2008, and the district has
until January 2013 to adopt its drought management strategy plan. Therefore, auditors were unable to determine the district's
achievement of this objective and related goal during this audit.
This audit was conducted in accordance with Texas Water Code, Sections 36.061 and 36.302.
