Demonstration Club met at
the home of Mrs. Ralph Par
sons Friday afternoon.
>Mrs. Buran Jones called the
itjieeting to order. Mrs. Par-
spns and three club ladies
presented the opening exer-
cise. The roll call was answer-
ed with “A Bible verse that
has meant the most to me".

Debbie Farris.
The serving table was cen-
tered with an all white ar-
rangement of Japanese iris,
columbine, larkspur and hy-
brid tea and running roses.
Breakfast menu consisted
of melon balls, pineapple
chunks and assorted fruits,
creamed chicken on toast,
lemon muffins and jelly and
coffee.
Hymn of the month was
"Rejoice. Ye Pure in Heart"
and roll call was answered
with “favorite music tor re-
laxing".
Mrs. Bob Krai presented
the program of recorded mu-
sic for listening.

More than 1.300 students
have applied for degrees at
Texas Tech's commencement
exercises May 29.
Gov. John Connally will
give the principal address at
the 8 p.m. exercises in Lub-
bock Municipal Coliseum.
The list includes David
Wayne Stephens from Crosby-
ton, civil engineering major,
who has filed for a bachelor
of science degree in civil en-
gineering from the School of
Engineering.

of the 540 rod and reel given
to the trap shooter with th*'
highest score for four corf-
secutive Sundays.
The competitive shooting
was sponsored by the White
River Sportsman Club.
Runners-up for the top
«core were David Ellison, At-
vis Moors and Denny Davis.
Competitive shoots will con-
tinue to be held by the club
each Sunday afternoon, but
no plans have been made for
long-range competitions such
as the one recently completed.

doo Methodist Church met
Thursday afternoon, May 20,
in the church annex for their
regular meeting with six la-
dies attending.
Mrs. Earl Van Meter, presi-
dent, held a short business
meeting. Mrs. A. G. Fox pre-
sented the program “Women
in the Church in New Na-
tions”. Those participating in
the program were Mrs. J. J.
Griffin, Mrs. Earl Van Meter,
Mrs. M. A. Graham and Mrs.
John A. Allen.
