similar FHA sub division in
Floydada.
D. A. Edwards and Goodwin
Hale, owners of the insurance
and real estate firm, will take
applicants for homes in the
new sub division to see those
iesidences recently completed
in Floydada upon appoint-
ment.
Prices of the houses range
from $11,500 to $15,500 with
up to 30 years to pay. On GI
loans no money down is re-
quired and on FHA loans
three percent and closing
costs is required.
Houses will be constructed
to suit the buyers, Edwards
said, and a choice of several

Screwworm Gains
Stepped up vigilance by
| livestock producers will be
necessary again this year to
' insure the success of the
j screwworm eradication pro-
gram and the continued con-
| trol of this insect.
Eradication officals are bo-
| coming increasingly eoncern-
! ed over the decrease in total
larvae specimens being sub-
mitted by Texas farmers and
ranchers during this extreme-
ly critical screwworm season.
These last heavy rains and
the promise of continued mild
temperature and moist con-|
ditions give rise to concern
that screwworms could

tected until a self-substain-
ing population has already
become established.
The fact that screwworms
have once again been permit-
ted to establish a ioothold in
South Texas is due in large
measure to farmers and
ranchers failing to inspect
their livestock, failing to treat
wounds following castration,
dehorning, etc. and failing to
collect samples to send to the
laboratory identification.
Although no screwworm
cases have been reported this
far north, Crosby County pro-
ducers should still keep their
eyes open for screwworms.
Club Cafe Will
Close To Give
Owners A Rest
L. H. Finch, owner of the
Club Cafe in Crosbyton, an-
nounced this week that the
Club Cafe will close Tuesday
for at least a month. He ex-
plained that the rest&Varani
closing is to give the owneis.
