Miss Katherine Trout presented
the mission study program at 4
meeting of the Presbyterian Busi«
ness Women's Circle, held recent-
ly in the home of Mrs. E. W
Green. *
Miss Trout discussed the topic,
"What Is the Church " which she
described as being, “a denomina-
tion or fellowship of the faithful."
She noted two major premises
concerning what this means to us
as individuals: First, that God
sent His Son; and Second, that
Christ rose from the grave. She
concluded by affirming that "thq
forces for good will be triumph-
ant."
Mrs. Walter Vaughan gave a re-
port on a recent district meeting,
held in Paris, which was attended
by several women from Honey
Grove.
Mrs. Vaughan emphasized the
purposes of the women’s organiza-
tions in the church, with three
designated goals membership, re-
lationship, and evangelism; and
which have two ipain targets, 1.
Youth in a distressed world, and,
2, New churches in Africa.
Mrs. Martin Ohr, Jr., associa-
tion. president, told o fa recent ex-
ecutive meeting, held In Green-
ville, with Mrs. Elizabeth Ferric
of Dallas, the Trinity Presbyter-
ial president, presiding.
Mrs. J. L .Carley, circle chair-
man, announced the District 3
meeting, set for October 4th at
Greenville, when the theme wili
be, "Our Responsibilities in the
World," as part of the new study,
"One People of God.”
Mrs. Martha Stroup led prayers
for the missionaries, stationed in
the United States, and in foreign
countries. She noted these facts
as a guide to meeting these re-
sponsibilities of the church wo-
men, that, "there is strength in
unity," and “to know is to care,
and to care is to share."
Following dismissal with the
Mizpah Benediction, refreshments
were served to fifteen members
and one guest, Mrs. Henry Allen,
by Mrs. Green, Mrs. R. T. Avery,
and Mrs. T. G. Lane.
—Reported
Mr. and Mrs. Philip Barbee and
Robert of Garland visited a short
time last Sunday afternoon with
\ Mr. and Mrs. Richard Galbraith.
They had been to Commerce to
take their daughter, Suzanne, who
is entering ETSC as a freshman.

M illions of years ago nature
IVI fashioned a proving ground
for trucks that man can never
duplicate. Today it is known as
the Baja (bah' hah) California
Peninsula, Mexico.
These pictures give you only a
bare’idea of the place. The road
is fine for 140 miles below the
U.S. border. Then the beating
begins. Rocks and hard-baked
ruts bang, jab and jerk the trucks
from stem to stern. JUtose sand
makes them struggle and-strain.
Dust chokes them. Heat roasts
them. Rivers drench them.
The BajavRun took this Chev-
rolet truck caravan 17 days to go
the 1,06(5 miles.
All the trucks performed magnifi-
cently. Not one was ’forced to
drop out because of mechanical
difficulty.
Trucks that can take this kind of
beating can take on your tough-
est truck jobs. Come in now and
see tough quality-built ’63 Chev-
rolet trucks with all their new im-
provements.

Sometimes the caravan crept along for hours In low gear. It
