Members of Troop Two who received their
Eagle badges at a recent court of honor are,
left to right, Howard McKinney, Dan Jones;
and Tom Perry.
Area Artists
To Exhibit
The area of Bellaire and vici-
nity will be well represented in
the Ninth Annual Student Ex-
hibit to be held by1 the Texas
Academy of Art.
The exhibit will be of work in
the Commercial Art and; Illus-
tration fields and will be held in
the school studiios at 4316 Mt.
Vernon.
It will be open to the public
from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on June
7th and 8th and from 10 a.m. to
4 p.m. on> June 9th.
The exhiitors are: Alice Oben_
haus, 808 Carol; Cheryl Rals-
ton, 4326 Creekbend; Charles
Shuman, 5208 Willow; Linda
Stout, 7155 Sharpview; Mrs. Su-
san Taylor, 8814 Reamer.
Troop Two Holds Eagle
Court Of Honor For Three
Three Scouts of Troop 2, Boy
Scouts of America, attained the
rank of Eagle Scout in a Court
cf Honor held Monday, May 20
in Fellowship Hall, Bellaire
Methodist Church.
Eagle Bad'ges were presented
to Tom Perry, son of Dr. and
Mrs. John H. Perry, 5124 Brae
Burn: Howard McKinney, son of
Mr. and Mrs. H. W. McKinney,
108 Datonia; and Dan Jones, son
cf Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. Jones,
3738 Merrick. FWty-four scouts
have now earned the rank of
Eagle while members of Troop 2
since it was chartered in March
of 1949.
The Eagle Challenge was given
by Southwest District Scout Exe-
cutive Karl Schriener.
In addition to the Eagle a-
wards. other advancements were
as follows:
Sidney Suggs, 4927 Valkeith,
was presented the rank of Life
Scout. Assistant Scoutmaster
Milton W. Crusius, 7058 Sharp-
crest, made the presentation.
Star awards were made to
Jack Nunn*, 5116 Evergreen, and
Randy Moyer, 4929 Pine. Otto
Wendenburg, a former Scout-
master of Troop 2, made the pre-
sentation.
