Vows Pledged In Lubbock
Miss Karen Louise Fuhrman
David Campbell, Jr., were
Tttflrucd at 7:30 p.m. Saturday,
June 1st, in the First Presbyter-
ian Church of Lubbock.
The Rev. Andrew A. Jumper
read a double ring ceremony.
The bride given in marriage
by her father, wore a gowm of
silk organza over bridal taffeta
designed with a fitted bodice and
portrait neckline encircled with
scalloped Alencon lace.
The lace extended down the
sick: panels of the controlled
skint. A full bouffant chapel
train was accented at center back
by a fabric bow.
A queen’s crown of pearls ac-
cented with crystal dTops held
her tiered1 veil of imported silk
illusion. She carried a cascade of
stephanotis topped with a white
orchid.
Mrs. Gregory Fuhrman, sis-
ter-in-law of the bride, was ma-
tron of honor. She wore a blue
•satin sheath dress designed with
a cumberbund and full over-
skirt of matching lace. She car-
ried a bouquet of blue carna-
tions.
Bridesmaids were Miss Dar-
lene Robinson, Mi9s Nancy Win-
ford and Miss Therlene Mahurin.
They wore blue satin sheath

of honor’s dress and carried buo-
quets of blue carnations.
David C. Hughes, Sr., father
of the bridegroom, was best man.
Groomsmen and ushers were
William McLaughlin, cousin of
the bridegroom, Hubert Log-
nion, Jr. of Bellaire; John Mor-
gan of Bellaire; Gregory Fuhr-
man, brother of the bride; C. G.
Moss and Jimmy Anderson of
Lubbock.
Miss Susan Hart in was flower
girl.
Harold Dutton, soloist, was ac-
companied by Cecil Bolton at
the organ.
A reception in the church
parlor followed the ceremony.
The couple made a wedding
trip to New Mexico. On return
to Lubbock the couple will re-
side at Tech Village, 2902 3rd
PL, Apt-A 26.
The bride attended Lamesa
and Lubbock Public Schools and
is now a student at Mcrriman
Business College. Her husband is
a graduate of Bellaire High
School and is a senior student
at Texas Technological College
majoring in Civil Engineering.
Parents of the couple are Mrs.
C. G. Moss, 1811 14th Street, and
Harry H. Furhman, 2419 35th
Street, Lubbock, and Mr. and
Mrs. David C. Hughes, 5116 Brae
Burn Drive. Out-of-town guests
for the wedding were: Perry
Doty, Caldwell, Kansas; Mr. and
Mrs. David C. Hughes, Sr. Bcl-
laire; Mrs. L. D. Williams, Ar-
lington; Mr. and Mrs. Leonard
McLaughlin, Georgetown; M r .
and Mrs. David Lynn McLaugh-
lin, Lynn Jr., Abilene; Mrs. Mic-
hael Lane, Clovis, New Mexico;
John Morgan, Bellaire; Ernest
Alexander, Bellaire; Hubert Log-
nion, Jr., Bellaire; William Tom-
linson, Mississippi.
Mrs. James B. Kellogg, 5203
Locust, is spending a two week
vacation in Garland, Texas,
where she was on hand to wel-
come her first granddaughter,
Terese Marie, born May 13 to
Jim and Bunny Kellogg.
