merce Christmas Decorations
Fund is slowly moving toward its
$3500 goal.
Contributions totaling $300

Repair, Dr. R. L. Jemelka, Mar-
tin and Black, Jim Oliver Office
Supply, Jackson Conoco Service
Station. There was also one
anonymous donation.
Milton Riedel, chairman of the
Christmas Decoration Commit-
tee, urged business folks who
haven’t already contributed to
the fund to do so right away. The
lights now festooning Bellaire
streets are attracting many
Christmas shoppers to the city.

Girl Scout Troop 436. Chimney Rock neigh-
borhood, are making exciting plans for the
holiday season. On Dec. 21, they will go
carolling and on Dec. 22, they will have their
Christmas party at the Condit Scout House.

the patients at Texas Children's Hospital.

present a Christmas wreath to
the patients of Jeff Davis Hos-
queen for the ninth. Since this is the beginning of pital.
We have now chosen candi-
dates from the homerooms and,
narrowed it down to the semi- '
finalists. Three remaining fin-
alists from each grade will ap- j
j pear at the dance where three of j
; the nine will be crowned. This
1 is a splendid occasion which all i
| utterfding enjoy. What a great |
way to begin the Christmas va-
cation.

mas dance, presented annually.

the seventh grade will be chosen,

j The monthly meeting of the
( Equinox Garden Club was held
i in the home of Mrs. Otto Berge,
| 6810 Concho.
! The program “Simplicity with
Candles” was presented by Mrs.
E. J. Golaz. The five minute in-
tensive study was the reading of
I the monthly Federation Horticul-
ture Bulletin by Mrs. P. O. Heal-
■ len, 6830 Hazen. The artistic ar-
I rangement was brought by Mrs.
M. P. Schemel, 7003 Edgemoor,
president of the club.
Parties and more parties . . .
Julie Fowler gave a small
party at the Cork Club the fif-
teenth at 2 p.m. The guests were
Sandy Zilker, Lee Wilson, Nelle
Lockard, Jan Meyer and Rose-
mary Stephenson.

Tommy Hynes has received an
early Christmas present. It is a
large fish aquarium which he
adds to every day.
My sincere thanks goes to two
of my closest friends, Mary Hel-
en Hamm and Melissa Ehrhardt.
I have been in bed with a flu
bug for the past week and with-
out their help this column
wouldn’t have been possible this
week.
