Tiie presents were both numerous and

Two gentlemen who visited
Denison for tiie purpose ot purchasing
property in or adjacent ta the eitv, re-
marked fir our hearing Thursday evening,
that the RitleWsibji were tiie most dilapi-
dated and dangeious they Imd ever seen.
We are compelled to admit that they told
the truth. Monday thefollowlng incident
happened: A lady aud a little girl wen
walking on the north side of Main street.
Just in front of a large mercantile bouse,
th* little girl stepped on a loose piece of
plank, which tilted up and struck her a
violent blow on tiie side ot the face. The
little gill cried and tiie mother was justly
indignant. The accident might have re-
sulted more seriously than it did. It Is
high time tnat the sidewall s throughout
the city w- re put In repair. More soon.
