Grayson County Frontier Village
History
Formed in 1966 to save the oldest home in Sherman, the Grayson County Frontier Village organized and leased a 17-acre site in Loy Park. Through the years, the village added nine more pioneer homes, a large collection of mule-drawn farm implements and several other buildings housing items of historical interest.
Five of the homes have Texas Historical Markers. Many other historical items are housed in a museum built in 1990.
