A Vienna dispatch says tt is stat-
ed Plot. Battkin, physician to the
Czar, advises the burning of Wetli-
anka and other villages where the
epidemic has broken out, and all the
furniture in them and the removal of
the inhabitants to healthy places. In
spite of the heavy expense such a
scheme would involve, the Czar is
said to be disposed to follow Dr.
Battkin’s advice.
The Dallas Commercial says the
Texas and Pacific railway company
has promptly and justly remunerated
the Louise Pomeroy tioupe to the
financial extent of their recent inju-
ries. In addition to defraying all
the expenses ot the company during
its siege of sickness, the sum ot three
thousand dollars has been distribut-
eel, $3,000 going to Mis, Pomeroy, *
$350 to her manager, $200 to Miss it known to his suffering fellows. Actu-
ated by this motive, and a desire to ret
lieve human suffering, I will send, free of
charge, to all who desire it this recipe,
with full directions for preparing arid us-
