The facts are, they get ia your

You lmve been taught that if
u tiling needs to be done, then
do it right now. Texans are a
little different. They reason
that if you wait until tomorrow
or next year, maybe you will
not have to do it. It usually
works out that way, especially
if there is somebody like you
around nil fired up to do it
right now. Which is all right
with Texas.
With your drive, your suc-
cess in Texas is assured. At
the height of tlmt success, you!

his too. He will smile toler-
antly and think you are a sap.
Y’ou meet some other friends,
and they are all alike, lacking
in warmth and friendliness.
None of them have done as
well as you, doubtless due to
the stiff competition in that
country. But they should not
resent your success. No, jeal-
ousy was not the answer. But
what?
Disappointed in your vaca-
tion, you return to Texas, and
feel a glow at the prospect of
getting back into the old har-

Telephoning is easy. But more depends on the user than you perhaps
realise. What you do when making or receiving a call often has a lot
to do with how Mtisfactory that call is- Here are ten suggestions:
1.
Before you call, make
sure of the number. /
7. Identify yourself. Not everyone
recognizes you by your voice.
2. Give the called party time to
answer.
3. Speak directly into the mouthpiece.
4. Move the twitch book slowly up
and down to recall or signal the oper-
ator.
8. Space calls on par-
ty lines. If you have a
aeries of calls to make,
allow a few minutes be-
tween each one so others can use the
line.
5. Replace the receiver carefully
when you have finished talking.
9. Keep calls brief on party line*.
Other folks on the line will appreciate
your thoughtfulness.
6. Answer call* promptly. It’* cour-
teous to do so.
10. {£'fY-jp Avoid calling during
busy hours if possible.
