Oct 90th.—A number of repre-
sentative farmers met at the court
house last Saturday afternoon to
consider the question of organizing
a County Fanners Institute. ' Nov-
ember 24th and 25th were set as
the time for permanent organization,
on which occasion Prof. J. H. Con-
nell will be present and deliver
lectures on various topics in con-
nection with the organization. For
that meeting other addresses have
been appointed as follows: Ed
Dewey of Sipe Springs on Angora
goats, H. L. Johnson of Gustine on
commercial orhards, J. H. Con-
nell on fruit and truck fanning,
general agriculture, swine raising
and general forage crops.
Churley Rancier died last Friday
after a lingering illness of several
years.
E. Quilitch has sold the electric
light plant here to E. W. Harris
and J. P. Hoff, who will take charge

A young Englishman jumped

car while crossing the Salt Fork

I. B. Rice who reside** lhr*e miles
from Dublin on the Carlton road,
was thrown from a horse Tuesday
of last week end injured so that
death ensued Thursday evening fol-
lowing. The young men was driv-
ing the milk cows home from the
pasture when a number of horses
in the pasture came suddenly run-
ning by him, frightening hie hone
which ran over a cow and fell. Rice
was caught under the boras end hie
liver and intoatinea fearfully
mash**«L He was picked up some
five or ton minutes later and every
medical attention given but without
avail. Burial took place at the old
Dublin cemetery last Friday at five
o clock in the afternoon.
