Ky. She had been an invalid since
last September, and Mrs. Mahan
has just recently returned from |fil

side. Last week we chronicled
the death of Rev. Mahan’s mother
which occurred just nine days
previous. The ladies were close
neighbors and warm friends.
Rev. Mahan and wife have the
sympathy of their friends in their
double bereavement.

On Sunday, June 28th, there
will be an anular eclipse of the
sun that will be visible pretty
well all over North and Central
America and the northern part
of South America. If the weather
is favorable there will be excel-
lent opportunity to see the phe-
nomenon. It will occur in the
cool of the day, beginning in this
section at 7:37 in the morning
and lasting until 10:28. This is
the period of anularity. The
entire eciipst period, the coming
on and passing off of the moon-
will last more than six hours.
