ress alweye shrinks from any discus-
sion with any of its contemporaries
regarding Ita business etandiog be-
cause We feel It ie to some extent im-
proper and likewise beoause we oan
devote out time end epeoe more profit-
ably and properly to giving the local
news. We have no desire, however,
to sail under false colors, but we
would like to be shown before we
agree to drop the line from the top of
the first page of the Progress end
cancel this claim of whloh we have
felt a Just pride for i good many
years. Incidentally we might aieo
state that the aame week In which
the Empire mentlone having givao
the only report of the election given
by “any Stepheovllle paper,” the
Progress In Dublin gave a more com-
plete report than did the Empire and
