which was called by the Port Ar-

Prayer Campaign
A campaign to remind and en-
courage attendance at prayer
services is being conducted by
■ members of the West Orange Bap-
tist TEL Class.
i Plans for this campaign were
I mapped out Tuesday during a
monthly business meeting in the
home of Mrs. Archie King. Mrs.
Edwin Freeman presided. The
members also voted to contribute
to the Polio Fund.
Mrs. King presented the devo-
tional from Galatians. During ihe
social period Mrs. Alva Willey di-
rected the members in a series of
games. T’
Refreshments of cookies and
pineapple punch were .served by
Mrs. King to those mentioned and
to Mrs. Howard Markwith. Mrs.
Jeff Smith. Mrs. E. P. Godwin
and Mrs. J. H. Penry.

St. Paul's Auxiliary
Plans Future Events
On the agenda for St. Paul’s j
Episcopal Women's Auxiliary is to j
extend an invitation to the Worn-]
en’s Auxiliary of the Southeast]
Convention to meet here in Oc-
tober. The members made the de-
cision Tuesday evening during a
monthly meeting at the church,
Mrs. W H. Karrer presided.
A discussion-was held on how to
improve the hospitality hour j
which the Sunday morning set- j
vice. Members decided that each’
guild chairman should present the
issue before her group, then re-
port on decisions or suggestions
at the next session of the Women's
Auxiliary.
Mrs. J. Ritter presented the
devotional on “Evangelism gls
Everybody's Business.” Mrs Ritter
asserted that it takes everyone,
the members and the minister
working together, to spread the
word of Christ. She stressed that
each person in his own capacity
can do his share in winning souls j
for Jesus Christ.
Mrs. M);R. Jones Jr., presented
a review of Charles W. Ranson’s ]
book. “That the World May
Know."
Mrs. L. T. Eunn and Mrs. Her-
bert Joumeay were co-hostesses.
They served refreshments of iced
tea and cookies.
The group will resume Its
morning meetings next month.
The next session is scheduled for
Sept. 21 at 10 a.m.
