—Louis Tschirhart was here
from Castroville the first of the
week. He informed us that he
is gathering three crops off of
his farms this year. Last Oct-
ober he sowed his field in oats
and fattened a bunch of beeves
On the green pasture during the
winter and early spring. In
May he cut and threshed a fair
crop of oats and at once planted
the land in corn and cotton and
now has a good crop of both
growing on the same land. This
is the kind of intensive farming
which pays and to which our
soil and climate in this country
is especially adapted.
