marries
Richard Smith
Miss Pamela Rose Pickett be-
came the bride of Richard Joseph
Smith on July 8 in a double ring
ceremony at St. Michael’s Catho-
lic Church at 7:30 p.m. Rev. John
C. Perusina officiated at the
ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Hugh E. Pickett,
Yazoo City, Miss and the groom
is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Les-
ter H. Smith, of Houston.
For her wedding the bride
chose a formal gown of satin
faced peau de soie outlined with
silk illusion. The long tapering
sleeves ended in petal points at
the wrists. The slim lines oi
the skirt were accented with
scattered scrolls of Chantilly lace
and bridal illusion with Chantilly
lace. The back panel of satin
bordered with scalloped lace fell
from the waistline to form a cha-
pel train. Her veil of silk illu-
sion was held in place by a lace
petal coif.
Miss Kay Ward, of Tyler Tex.
was maid of honor.
Lester H. Smith served his son
as best man.
Following the ceremony a re-
ception was held at the home
of the groom's parents.
The couple will be at home in
Wichita, Kansas.
Mrs. Richard Smith
Viki Krueger weds David Goodrich in July 1 Gremony
Miss Viki Lynn Krueger and
David Randle Goodrich were wed
in a double ring ceremony on July
1 at Memorial Drive Presbyterian
Church. Dr. Robert R. Ball offi-
ciated.
Miss Krueger is the daughter of
Mrs. Robert Victor Krueger,
13506 St. Marys Ln., Houston and
Mr. Goodrich is the son of Mrs.
Kathleen Goodrich, of San An-
tonio.
For her wedding the bride chose
a formal gown of white silk or-
ganza, combined with Venice
lace. The empire bodice of lace
was designed with a low square
neck line. Lace appliques drape
over the shoulders into a full bis-
hop sleeve. A magnificent flow-
ing skirt had a detachable train
that flows to chapel length. Her
full length mantilla with border
of matching lace flows to the
length of the train.
Maid of honor was Becke Krue-
ger, sister of the bride. She wore
white voille with yellow dots.
fashioned with molded bodice and
high neckline and bishop sleeves.
A soft gathered skirt highlighted
by deep ruffles outlined the bot-
tom edge.
Bridesmaid’s were Susan
Krueger, sisterof the bride; Mrs.
Wayne Meier, of San Antonio, sis-
ter of the groom; Miss Lana
Langford and Miss Laura Parr.
They all were dressed the same
as the maid of honor.
Best man was Joe B. Goodrich
Jr. Groomsmen were Ken Keller,
Mark Quick, Tim Parr and Steve
Skiles. Usher was John Smith.
Immediately following the
ceremony a reception was held
at the church.
The bride is a graduate of
Westchester High School, and at-
tended Southwest Texas Univer-
sity at San Marcos. The groom
graduated from Roosevelt High
School in San Antonio, and at-
tended Texas University. He will
attend the University of Houston
in the fall.
